ProFTPD Standard Module Documentation

The following is a collection of HTML documentation for modules and tools in the modules/ directory of the ProFTPD source distribution. This documentation itself appears in the ProFTPD source distribution, under the doc/modules/ directory.

The mod_auth_file module

For defining "virtual" users via flat files. Virtual users are covered in more detail in the virtual users mini-HOWTO

The mod_auth_pam module

For using the PAM API when authenticating users

The mod_cap module

For restricting process privileges using Linux "capabilities"

The mod_ctrls module

Implements the Controls feature. Controls are covered in more detail in the Controls mini-HOWTO

The mod_delay module

Provides protection against information leaks due to timing-based attacks

The mod_dso module

Implements support for the DSO feature. More information on the DSO feature is availabe in the DSO mini-HOWTO

The mod_facl module

Responsible for handling POSIX ACLs, if supported by the system

The mod_lang module

Provides support for the LANG command, and i18n support

The list may be intimidatingly long, but it is well worth scanning through all of the directives to see everything that ProFTPD is capable of supporting.
